Wet path to Great Mis Tor
This is a photo of the path that leads up to Great Mis Tor on Dartmoor National Park. I liked how the water was running down the path; almost like it was a river bed, and how it leads the eye up to the tor beyond. I visualised it as a moody black and white when I took it and I think it suits it. I know Great Mis Tor is quite small in the picture, but I think sometimes it is good to show the expanse of nothing around key features of the moor too.
I have finally upgraded from the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM to the Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM after seeing such great reviews for it. I was keen to test it out but the weather forecast didn’t look promising this weekend; I was hoping that the showers would create some really dynamic skies and lighting on Dartmoor. I headed there with my youngest son to see what we could photograph, but when we got there the heavens well and truly opened. We managed to take a few photos but didn’t get as many as we would have liked. That’s landscape photography!
