Sky on fire over Lundy Island
I took this photo of Lundy Island at the same time as I took the one of Hartland Point. I think they make quite the set. The visibility was good enough to be able to see the old Lundy Island lighthouse silhouetted against the horizon.
Just like the previous photo, the only adjustments were the crop, tonal adjustments and colour. I can’t wait until I get a longer lens to attach to my 5D Mark 2; not only for better photos of Lundy and other landmarks but also for the ability to pick out more select compositions when a wide angle just isn’t the best option.
It’s times like this when I really want a Canon 5DSR. The one exposure could print much larger than the one taken here without the need for multiple exposures. I can only hope that I manage to get my hands on one at some point. The extra resolution would make the quality for much larger prints much more attainable; not that my 5d Mark 2 is a slouch!
