Poppies line a field on a summer’s day
Poppies make a great photography subject on a summer’s day. I found myself with a short window of time to get out and take a few photos, having not been out for a while. After a quick scout about I decided to look for some poppies to shoot.
I knew of a spot in Braunton that has had them previously in relatively small numbers; so I headed there to see what I could find. I managed to find a small number that lined one of the fields so spent a small amount of time shooting them.
The sun was bright and I don’t normally shoot during peak daylight of late. The wind was quite brisk though; with regular strong breezes making composition just a small part of getting the shots. I got a few nice photos of them. I would love to find a field full of poppies though so that I could get some strong landscape photos with impact featuring these beautiful flora.
