An Exmoor Footpath
I went to Exmoor today to try to get a few landscape shots while taking a break from building the next version of my website. As I drove onto Exmoor I was constantly looking for new viewpoints to shoot, as well as checking out spots that I have earmarked but have yet to get the right light for. This footpath leads up into the Exmoor hills outside of Withypool from one of several inset parking areas that line the road.
I quite like the composition of this photo, I think it it sums up walking on the moor at this time of year, with much of the ground saturated. I like how the path leads into the image and up over the hill. Sometimes I think driving around an area as golden hour approaches helps me to find and spot potential images that I may bypass on other days. Today I ended up on Winsford Hill for the end of the day’s light, but it fizzled into nothing really, with the cloud coming in at the wrong time.
I am aiming to get out much more with my camera again now, it has been far too long!
